Pray for Lilly

This is my gorgeous "sister". You see, I never had a sister. Always wanted one. I'd watch other sisters interact with each other and wonder what it must be like to have a friend so dear. Then I met Lilly. She has sisters. She knows the joy of sisterly fellowship. But her two sisters live miles away. So.... we adopted each other. We're sisters at heart. She has been my dearest friend, mentor, sister and a huge  inspiration in my life. Lilly is always positive. Always caring. Always giving. She sees a need before you even see it and meets it in her sweet selfless way. She's fun! She loves life just to live it! Loves exploring new places and new things. This summer, she started to feel tired, weak and not so well. It quickly spiraled downward till she had very little use of the right side of her body. Just over a week ago she was admitted to Johns Hopkins hospital in Baltimore because of bleeding on the brain. After further tests the doctors unofficially determined that she has brain cancer in the left side of her brain. The official diagnosis is still coming but it looks to be a very aggressive kind with few treatment options. Oh the heartache! Lill has a dear loving husband and three young adult children who love her so. And many, MANY lives who have been touched by her kindness and just ADORE her. (Yes, that's me!) We all are believing God for a miracle in her body! A big one! Our God is not limited to circumstances or bound by symptoms or a diagnosis. We are proclaiming over her what the word of the Lord says ...
Psalm 103:3
Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits--who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases.

Isaiah 53:4-5
Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.

Psalm 118:17
I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the LORD has done.

I love this one:
III John 2
Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.

I love it because I KNOW that Lill's soul and spirit are prospering as she is in constant fellowship with her sweet Jesus. She may not be able to voice much verbally to us but I KNOW she is communicating ever so much with our Mighty God.

This summer, when she was just starting to feel bad, I had the privilege of having pics taken with her. A sort of sister shoot :) I collected props and outfits and accessories, we made matching aprons, we shopped together and shopped and shopped some more and then took these darling photos which I cherish. I share them with you today and encourage you to pray with me and join in the fight for Lilly's miracle! AND IF OUR GOD IS FOR US, THEN WHAT CAN STAND AGAINST US?! Thank You, Lord, for the many promises in Your word!
